    This report provides an overview of overdoses that have occurred in Victoria from 1 January 2011 - 31 December 2020 and includes an analysis of demographic information including age, gender and geographical data along with a discussion of observable trends in drug overdose deaths. This report was produced under the Coroners Court of Victoria's initiative to release timely and accessible data.

    This report presents Victorian overdose death statistics for the eight consecutive quarters from July-August 2020 (Q3 2020) to April-June 2022 (Q2 2022). It was collated under the Coroners Court of Victoria's initiative to make mortality data accessible to the community and to organisations engaged in reducing preventable deaths.

  • Victorian Systemic Review of Family Violence Deaths Report 2000-2010

    The Victorian Systemic Review of Family Violence Deaths (VSRFVD) commenced operation in the Coroners Court of Victoria in 2009. Led by the State Coroner, it focuses attention on the context in which family violence-related homicides and homicide-suicide incidents occur. Through coroners’ findings, comments and recommendations, the VSRFVD contributes to strengthening the response to family violence in this state.

    The report provides in-depth analysis of completed coronial investigations into family violence related homicides in Victoria between 2000-2010.
