Online Hearings

In response to the State Government’s restrictions to reduce the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), all Coroners Court hearings, including inquests, will be convened via electronic and digital means where feasible.

The Coroners Court is open and continues to actively investigate all cases. Coroners and staff are working in accordance with the restrictions imposed as a result of COVID-19 and remain committed to serving the community at this difficult time. Webex Events

All online proceedings at Coroners Court are conducted via Webex Events. During Webex Events hearings all participants are assigned one of the two roles :

Panelist

Any users who are required participate during the hearings are assigned with 'Panelist' permission.

A user with Panelist permission can be seen on the screen and can talk and chat to any other panelist or chat with any attendees during the hearing.

A panelist can see a list of all panelist and all attendees.

Attendee

Users viewing the proceeding with no active role are assigned with “Attendee” permission.

A user with Attendee permission can only hear and see all panelists. A user with Attendee permission cannot be heard or seen on the screen during the hearing. Attendee can chat to any panelists or host only.
